What's In Your Bible?

…for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. – Psalms 138:2

Geneva: John 3:36

Jon Truth made a post stating that King James changed a verse from the Geneva for political reasons.  This video shows that it was the Geneva that departed from the texts.

John 3:36  He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Before the 1560 Geneva Bible is the Great Bible:

1539 Great Bible: “He that believeth not the son, shall not see life”

This means the Geneva changed it from the Bible before it, The Great Bible also known as the Chain Bible because the Bibles kept being stolen and they had to chain it to the pulpit or stand to keep it from disappearing.

The King James matches the Great Bible. The Geneva does not.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15
