Fasting is an integral part of worship.

It is something you can do by yourself. No one needs to know. It’s just between you and God.

Fasting is all throughout the Bible.

The Bible says “When” you fast, not “If” you fast.

The verses where the word “Fasting” is missing is coincidently where a spiritual aspect is relevant.

If one time Fasting is omitted, then it could be an accident. Twice makes you want to think. Three times sparks controversy, but Four times?

Who doesn’t want you to fast? Normally people fast 1-3 days at any given instance.

We do know that Jesus fasted for 40 days.

The longest fast recorded in history is 392 days by Angus Barbieri. (they lost 276 lbs, so, if you don’t have that much to lose, I wouldn’t recommend that long of a fast).

If you’ve never fasted, try skipping a meal and read the Bible and pray for someone else or an issue you are having instead of eating.

If that works well for you, go for 2 meals in a row.

Then go for a day, then 2, or 3.

Consult your doctor if you have medical issues.
