The Eclipse EXTENDED Horiz
What’s In Your Bible: The Eclipse
Is the Eclipse a sign from God for the Rapture? Doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is whether or not you are ready. Are you ready to meet God?
There’s a lot of posts on the eclipse coming on April 8.
People are trying to fit the Bible into the event.
Ignore it. Don’t pay any attention to it. There’s nothing to be anxious about. Use it to talk to others about God and eternity.
In the grand scheme of things, the eclipse won’t make any difference if you aren’t saved, Born Again, or recognize Jesus as being your only means of Salvation.
The exact day and hour Jesus returns is not nearly as important as the fact that He will return and could return at any moment. the only thing that matters is if you are personally ready.
If you are ready, it will be the best day of your life. If you are not ready, it’ll be the worst day of your life So far.. Imagine a world where there is no governor to keep right from wrong? Kind of like all of the prisons and jails are opened and there are no police to stop the evil. No one on earth knows what it is like to not have the Holy Spirit in the world keeping right from wrong. When the Holy Spirit is gone, it will be no holds barred. But even this is immaterial.
How to be ready? God has provided a free gift for whosoever believes in Him. The Gift is eternal life through Jesus Christ.
ROM 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
God is pure. He doesn’t allow anything that is not pure with Him in Heaven. Unfortunately, we have all sinned and come short of God’s Glory.
ROM 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
But, God knows this and provided a pure sacrifice to pay for our sins. God provided Himself as the sacrifice through Jesus.
GEN 22:8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering:
1TI 3:16 God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
ROM 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
1JN 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Since He provided Himself as the sacrifice through Jesus, there is no other way to Heaven.
So, how do we get this gift? We have to recognize that we don’t deserve Heaven. Compared to God, we deserve Hell. Unless we grasp the gravity of the situation, we cannot move on to the next step which is repentance.
Once we recognize we deserve Hell, then we ask for forgiveness. I mean, that makes sense doesn’t it? We do something wrong we ask for forgiveness. It’s pretty straightforward. No magical spells or incantations. No blue kool-aid. No hidden agenda.
After we ask for forgiveness, then we need to repent from doing those sins again. If you’re truly sorry for hurting someone, would you want to do it again? It seems normal to want to please God and not do the things that makes God upset. Just like a child to a parent.
So, you’ve recognized that you deserve Hell.
You’ve asked for forgiveness for your sins.
You recognize that the only way to have your sins forgiven is through acceptance of the sacrifice that God provided through His Son Jesus.
Ask God to be born again as a new creature to serve Him in gratitude for His mercy and gift of eternal life.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Now comes the exciting part! Seek His face and learn as much about Him as you can by reading and studying His word.
1PE 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
Pray before you read. Ask God to show you what He wants you to learn to help you to be wise and that you might be able to help others to see His Saving Grace.
Pray daily. Read daily, Seek His face daily. Walk knowing that God has heard you and has answered your prayer.
Pray and fast for others. Be a conduit for those around you to know about God the Father, Jesus His Son, and the Holy Spirit. [Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing (Immersing) them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:]
Back to the big picture. It doesn’t matter about the eclipse, rapture, or second coming. What matters is faith in Jesus Christ today.
I hope this helps!
