What’s In Your Bible Luke 6:48 The Rock

He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.

The subject we are looking at here is what the house was built on or what I call, the Titanic Syndrome

NIV the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. “Oh, so the house was built well… Not because it was built on a solid foundation

ESV the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built.

The Titanic was well built, but the solid ice rock was stronger.

NASV the river burst against that house and yet it could not shake it, because it had been well built. Was it Amish built?

New World Translation when a flood came, the river dashed against that house but was not strong enough to shake it, for it was well-built. Just like the Jehovah’s Witnesses religion, built upon man and not the Solid Rock.

The VERY next verse further validates that it wasn’t the quality of the building of the house,

it was the foundation it was built upon.

The new translations contradict themselves.

The best build house will crumble if the foundation is weak.

The worst built house will still stand on a solid foundation.

But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.

Is your faith based on yourself or the solid Rock of Jesus?

As per usual, it's missing out of the sloppy and contradicting Vaticanus and Sinaiticus.
