Matthew 1:25 Firstborn
In Matthew 1:25 we read of the birth of the Saviour Jesus who would save His people from their sins. Here it’s recorded that Joseph, the husband of the virgin Mary “knew her not till she had brought forth her FIRSTBORN son: and he called his name JESUS.”
Mary was a virgin when Jesus was born.
Mary had at least 7 other children after Jesus.
Matthew 13:55-56 Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? And his sisters, are they not all with us?
Some denominatinos teach that Mary was perpetually a virgin which disagrees with the Firstborn of others doctrine.
Firstborn is found in the Majority of all remaining Greek manuscripts and many uncial copies (capital letters) including C, D, E, K, L, M, S, U, V, W, Gamma, Delta, Pi, Sigma and Omega.
