Deuteronomy 22:9 Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds: lest the fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of thy vineyard, be defiled.

People claim certain laws from the Old Testament are invalid because of allegedly inane laws.

Notice how they attribute stoning someone to death for incorrectly planting a garden?

There isn’t a punishment for planting mixed seeds.

You just won’t get the outcome you want.

Not all laws in the Bible are penalized by death.

Some laws are there to help you live better lives.

There’s no death penalty for not wearing a seat belt, although that could result in not wearing one.

Any experienced farmer or gardened knows you don’t mix seeds in a garden.

Cross pollination causes damage and makes vegetables uneatable.

The root system of potatoes growing under ground

Is different than the root system of tomatoes growing above ground

If you grow root vegetables side by side with above ground vegetables, everything is fighting for the same piece of dirt.

What’s the root behind maligning Scripture?

In order to justify their sin, they change the word of God to attempt to humiliate you into submission.

If you don’t know what scripture says, you can’t defend it.

There’s no punishment for disobeying this directive other than bad vegetables.

Besides all that… God said so.
