What‘s In Your Bible: The Messiah is God.

There are lots of anti-Jesus people and religions out there that say Jesus isn’t God or that the Messiah would not be God.

Let’s look at Zechariah chapter 12.

As you read through you are going to see this this word I.

Starting at verse 1 This is the Lord God talking:

1 The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.

2 Behold, I will

3 And in that day will I

4 In that day, saith the LORD, I will Then later I will open mine eyes

6 In that day will I make

9 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will

10And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications:

and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son,

and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

This is speaking of God Himself of having a body and being pierced.

Jesus was pierced.

Psalm 22:16 …they pierced my hands and my feet.

Lets continue on to Zechariah 13:6

And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.

Remember when Abraham sacrificed Isaac and Isaac asked, where is the lamb?

Genesis 22:7 7And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?

Verse 8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb.

God needed a perfect sacrifice to pay for the penalty of Sin.

The only perfect sacrifice could be God because only God is perfect. Jesus is the perfect lamb of God.

God became a man and provided the perfect Sacrifice through Him as Jesus Christ so that you may have eternal life.

1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son.
