The Progressive Revelation hermeneutical principle describes a Biblical nuance in which more information is revealed later on in the Bible.
This is very significant since the reverence is usually many years later and written in a completely different book by a completely different author thereby supporting the authenticity of the Bible being a supernatural book.
For instance, in Exodus 7:11, 12, and 22 and 8:7
Moses was having a power battle with the Pharoah’s magicians. Jannes and Jambres
We don’t find out their names until 15 centuries later in 2 Timothy 3:8
In 1 Kings 17:1 we find that Elijah prophesies that there wouldn’t be any dew or rain for 3 and a half years.
We don’t find out how long it was until Luke 4:25
In the book of Jonah we don’t find out that the Great Fish was a whale until Jesus said it in Matthew 12:40.
God has intertwined His stories revealing clues with
different authors during different times
Making His story one that only He could write.
